I am Bobby Kerns, a second year photojournalist, first year photo editor and senior at Hickory Grove Christian School. For most of my life I have been interested in photography and capturing moments, so being a part of the student media staff has given me the opportunity to embrace my hobbies and create good content.
One of my main focuses this year for our school's online news site, The Pride Online, was to add meaningful multimedia. I took it upon myself to add this new element to our website by making videos that range from vlogs about my senior year to a series called "The Examiner" where I dive into deep topics. My favorite has been a series called "HG Answers", where I interview K5-12th grade students and ask them all one question in hope of getting diverse answers.
Both years of being in photojournalism have taught me time management, how to handle stress, and how to make my ideas into creative works of art that are entertaining for people to see. Thank you for taking the time to view my portfolio and feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
