Caption: Headmaster Jimmie Quesinberry waves to the crowd at the beginning of the parade seated in a 1970 W30 Yellow 442 Convertible. The car is owned by Mrs. Scribner, a high school Bible teacher.

About: Writing this caption involved going to find out the model of the car, mainly because I don't know cars very well. Luckily the owner of the car was my Bible teacher, so it wasn't too hard to figure out the answer.

Caption: The beloved school mascot, Roary the Lion, makes an appearance in the first Homecoming parade since its departure several years ago, to the delight of everyone in attendance.

About: A lot of people didn't know that we used to have a Homecoming parade ever year until a couple of years ago, so this caption was to let people know about the school's history.

Caption: REACHING FOR SUCCESS

Eighth grader Jalen Whitley goes up for the shot as the defense quickly approaches to contest the shot. “Whitley displayed great floor vision and ball handling while leading the Lions,” Coach Scott said.

About: This quote about Jalen from Coach Scott really adds a lot to this caption because it gives an element that I can't give because I don't know him as well as his coach would, and his coach can speak to his dedication and skills like no one else.

Caption: PUMP IT UP

Coach Devin Robinson pumps up the sophomore team after strategizing. ”Powder Puff is a great event held yearly that brings classmates together and creates a bond that might not form otherwise,” Robinson said.

About: I really wanted a quote from Mr. Robinson about this picture because I wanted to keep from adding a second sentence that had no meaning. A quote added the right opinion from a person deeply involved with the event.

Caption: JUST LIKE MOTHER

Hester Pryne (played by Junior Abigayle Phipps) scolds her daughter Pearl (7th grader Juliana Herberg) for her defiant spirit she inherited from her in the Spring production of The Scarlet Letter.

About: Only someone who had been there to watch the play and not just to get the pictures would be able to write this caption. I have also read the book "The Scarlet Letter", and so I had further knowledge on the stroy behind the play.

Caption: ADVICE FROM PROS

The high school drama class uses Skype to interview Kevin Wegner, who plays Reverend Dimmesdale, in an upcoming film adaption of The Scarlet Letter to get tips for their play and a possible future in acting as a career.

About: In order to write this caption, I talked with someone that was in the class to find out the information, because I was not the person that took this picture. I was asked to write the caption anyway in order to help meet a deadline. Instead of writing the obvious, I sought to get details on the story behind the picture.
